Required Documents to apply for Duplicate SID Card (Seamen Identity Document) are:
- APPLICATION LETTER where you are requesting a shipping master to issue you a duplicate SID CARD as you have lost it or it is damaged. Mention your details here like your INDOS number, SID Card number & your personal details.
- FIR copy about when you lost it.
- SID CARD copy in case you have it. Or if you don't have then you can simply log in your bsid website, In your profile SID CARD details are mentioned. SID Card number when it was issued and when it is about to expire. That information is available there.
- PAYMENT Fourth thing you
are going to require to make a payment of ₹300 at a Bharat Kosh website
under the name of Ministry of Shipping. Alright, there you have to make a
payment of ₹300.

After submitting the documents, it is expected to receive a SID CARD in one month to 1 1/2 month. This is what I've been told all right and when you submit the documents you receive a submitting stamp and they will give you the Xerox that you can keep it with you and hopefully your SID Card will arrive at home within one month or within 1 1/2 month.
